I've been interested in politics since I was a kid really, a regular "Alex P. Keaton" from the TV show "Family Ties I know I saw "The Manchurian Candidate My dad loved movies and so I watched a great deal of black and white movies on TV, with him, at the dawn of ubiquitous color entertainment. This is one of the greatest things my father gave me, a love for movies, TV, and music. He was a real media hound and now, so am I. In 1980 came "The Formula Onen of my all time favorite political thrillers however, is about local politics, and not national or international, and that movie is "Primal Fear I know I haven't named many "current" movies, mainly because I wanted to showcase "classic" movies. What were some of your favorite political thrillers spurring your interest in politics? Recent Posts

The Boston Tea Party's mandate is "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" in the United States of America, and around the world wherever we are able to offer our assistance in the quest for freedom.
It is also an alternative, third political party in US politics, running candidates on a strict write-in basis. If you would like to run as a write-in candidate for any office, please join our party today, and declare yourself a write-in candidate for the office of your choice. Then campaign, spread the message, "we the people" are taking back the reins of government. If what we've had, is the best our politicians can offer, then it's never too late to return to the concept of citizen as politician, rather than a politician as citizen. I started the Boston Tea Party as a vehicle to propel my write-in candidacy, for President of the United States in the year 2008. I first announced my intent shortly after the 2004 election. Since joining gather and beginning to actively build the party, it has been a mere six months. Hello, My name is jJack Midknight I am asking you to support my write-in campaign by joining The Boston Tea Party today, and as the election of 2008 arrives I am asking you to make Mandate08 your mission, to make Mandate08 more than just a neat idea. I use blogging as a delivery system for my ideas, opinions, and positions on various issues all Americans are interested in learning more about, as they decide who will be the next President of the United States. I publish articles and opinion on current events, giving my opinion of what the current administration is doing correctly, and identifying what they have wrong, why they have it wrong, and what I would do about the problem if given the chance. I don't expect to win, in my position, only an idiot would. But don't let that fact trick you into thinking I'm not a serious candidate, because I am. Born in 1958 with congenital Spina Bifida, my life has been so exciting in so many ways very few will have the privilege to experience and understand. Chronic disease changes things for most people, and they either crumble, or take to heart the adage, "whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger." However one thing has led me to undertake this race, and it relates directly to my physical circumstances. I am nearly four million dollars old, as I have been on dialysis now for over 15 years. When my kidneys failed at thirty three I assumed I would never work again. I was wrong. In 1994 I learned about the internet and began to teach myself the required skills to communicate my ideas with the world. I also began to "chat." I found a wonderful chat room at an old chat hub called wbs.com as soon as I logged online. It was a great place, html based chat environment, with thousands of members. I frequented quite a few rooms there, from the 30s Lounge, to various poetry rooms, and of course, the politics room. When wbs.com crashed and burned after ABC/Disney bought it and merged into the go.com network, the group that had fought and hated each other so lovingly in the politics room, kind of roamed from html chat room to html chat room. The two I remember distinctly were bigbobs. com and our long time current host, sfwest.com-- however they've recently sold, although our room is still there. This chat room is also called the Boston Tea Party. The room is still rather active, with dozens of people there pretty much any time, day or night. The problem is, this group has been together for so long there are really old, really silly feuds, and the room is completely polarized, left on the left and right on the right. These days it's mostly about posturing, posing and preening, playing the "gotcha" game, with the usual name calling and demands to "put up," or in other words PROVE IT. Of course if you do bother to prove something you've said you can be sure your source will be denigrate, then they'll get right back to slandering you. It's all good fun for the frothing at the mouth crowd, and I must admit I do enjoy the action from time to time, even today. It is a faced paced environment and you can easily have your fill of political banter in real time, rather than in an essay format such as gather. I tell you all of this to let you understand where I come from, and what type of candidate I am. Completely waged online, my campaign will truly be about ideas, and why the ruling class no longer serves "Joe Sixpack." You and I, the guys out here that work hard all week and maybe like to have a beer on Friday night, we're the ones that pay the bills, We make America work and I believe our politicians have forgotten that, don't you? As a write-in candidate, I am truly a candidate of the people. Without a national party with lots of members, without the high rolling donors, the fancy cars and glittering parties, I'll be paying my own way and I won't have to obey any of their rules. I won't need to make sure my name is on every state's ballot, I'm a write-in. I don't need to register with the FEC, I'm a write-in. The only people I'll have to report any donations to is the IRS, just like any other income. I simply am not subject to the federal election laws, because I am running as a write-in candidate. I am running on the idea that if elected, I will truly be the people's candidate; demonstrable in such a way no other candidate has ever been able to achieve. My name is jJack Midknight and I am a candidate for President of the United States of America in the year 2008. In addition I am a Founding Delegate of the Unity08.com movement, and will seek their nomination at the summer convention in 2008. I am asking you to make Mandate08 your mission, work hard to build the party until the election, then write-in jJack Midknight. That's lowercase j, uppercase J, a, c, k, JACK ! ! ! !
